In a significant development, India’s first Vande Metro service has been renamed as ‘Namo Bharat Rapid Rail’ and is set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 16. The train will operate between Bhuj and Ahmedabad, covering a 360-kilometer distance in just 5 hours and 45 minutes.
The ‘Namo Bharat Rapid Rail’ boasts modern amenities and advanced safety features, making it a significant upgrade to India’s rail network. The train’s 12 air-conditioned coaches are designed with centrally controlled automatic sliding doors, modular interiors, continuous LED lighting, and CCTV surveillance for enhanced security.
With a top speed of 110 kilometers per hour, the train promises a swift and comfortable journey. The ticket price is set at an affordable ₹455, making it an attractive option for passengers traveling between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. The train will make stops at nine stations, offering convenient connectivity for passengers.
The ‘Namo Bharat Rapid Rail’ is also equipped with advanced safety features, including the KAVACH system for collision avoidance and aerosol-based fire suppression, alongside emergency lighting to ensure passenger security.
