70th National film awards declared updates 2024: The 70th National Film Awards were announced on Friday at the National Media Center in New Delhi, honoring outstanding contributions to Indian cinema. The Malayalam film “Attam” emerged as the Best Feature Film. Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor award for this best performance in Kantara movie. Nithya Menen and Mansi Parekh won the best actress award in Thiruchitrambalam and Kuthch Express while Aattam bagged the best film honour.
The top winners of the 70th National Awards
70th National Film Award Winners 2024: The winners of the 70th National Film Awards were announced at National Media Center in New Delhi on Friday with the Malayalam film Attam. It was emerging as the best feature film.While Nithya Menan won the Best Actress Awad for Thiruchitrambalam and Mansi Parekh for the Kutch Express, the best Actor Award was respectively achieved by Rishab Shetty for the film Kantara.The best Director Award went to Sooraj Barjatya for his film, Uunchia. Ponniyin Selvan won the maximum number of awards while Fouja, KGF 2 , Brahmastra and Aparajito were among the other film which won multiple honours.
The awards were declared by the chairperson of the feature film Jury, Rahul Rawail and Nila Madhab Panda. Chairperson of the non- feature film Jury; and Gangadhar Mudalair, chairperson of the Best Writing on Cinema Jury.
